Sunset Junction is this wacky little street festival in the Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles. It started years ago as a way to bring the gang members of Los Angeles out of the woodwork and into community with the diverse people of Silverlake. It’s a little bit indie rock, a little county fair, and a little fetish all rolled into one. Proceeds help neighborhood youth with family counseling, tutoring, computer training, mural painting, and neighborhood clean-up.
